Allison joined the lab in April 2024 after completing her bachelor’s at Dalhousie University. She completed her honours degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology.
 

Allison is focused on neurodegeneration, particularly Parkinson’s disease and the factors influencing its progression. Using mouse models, she will investigate the impact of insulin on the brain to explore diabetes as risk factor of Parkinson’s disease progression.

Outside of the lab, Allison appreciates discovering new restaurants and exploring the city with her dog.
