Janice Park
MSc Student
Janice joined the lab in 2021 as an undergraduate research assistant, where she aided data collection with diverse mice behavioural assays and the MRI for Stephanie Tullo’s PhD work on longitudinal alpha synuclein propagation. After completing her B.Sc. in Behavioural Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia, she transitioned into a M.Sc. student at the IPN in 2022. Her research aims to further specify alpha synuclein propagation along the mouse structural and functional connectomes via a multidisciplinary approach. The research emphasizes utilizing techniques with high translatability and standardization potential, such as the rodent fMRI and Bussey-Saksida rodent touchscreen apparatus, to contribute towards advancing mouse models of human brain processes and disorders.
Outside (and sometimes within) the lab, you can find Janice doodling and painting, hunting for new music on Spotify, sniffing coffee while contemplating life at a cafe or brewery.
